Most of my life, I've been trying to be good enough for someone; my parents, teachers, partners, employers.... I started this blog a week ago, but since then I've been trying to come up with a first post that was good enough. It isn't happening. This is not the perfect first post, but it'll do.

I picked up a book at the library this weekend called "Redesign your life". The first exercise is to check off from a list which aspects of your life you want to change; of nine options, I want to change eight. That seems like a mammoth task!

So what am I looking to change? Where I live, where I work, my social situation (or lack thereof), my weight, and my relationship status (currently single) - I think that's all. According to the self-help book, I start by setting small goals. This week, I will:
-journal 10 minutes every day
-run every other day, just as much as I can
-do two days of strength training, one upper body and one lower

Seems simple enough, I hope!
